What's Nixing teapot?
Nixing pottery, known as Yue pottery in ancient times and scientifically called purple clay pottery, is produced in Qinzhou, Guangxi. Nixing pottery is a traditional folk craft with more than 1,300 years of history.
Qinzhou Nixing pottery, together with Jiangsu Yixing purple sand pottery, Yunnan Jianshui pottery, and Sichuan Rongchang pottery(Chongqing Rongchang pottery), are known as the "four famous pottery in China" and are well-known at home and abroad. In June 2008, Qinzhou Nixing pottery firing technology was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
After 3 days of the wood-fired process, the natural wood ashes fall onto the surface of the teacup, and then they develop a natural gloss and glaze without any artificial glazing. This is a unique piece in the world If you like it, don't miss it :D

The crackled texture of wood-fired pottery carries a unique earthy beauty.
Its delicate cracks spread across the vessel like withered vines,
as if the earth itself were yearning for rain—quietly waiting to be nourished, to awaken, and bloom with new life.

(The beauty of natural crackles and fire marks)
If you are searching for a teapot to brew any aged tea, the Nixing clay teapot is one of the best options! Because the clay retains heat well, tea can breathe inside the pot thanks to its double-pore structure.

I was impressed with this wood-fired Nixing Dragon Egg and Chentou from the moment I opened the package. The quality of the clay, firing, and workmanship was immediately apparent in the hand. More importantly, it performs beautifully with tea. Brewing young sheng, I am getting remarkable sweetness, clarity, presence, and three-dimensionality while still retaining the integration I associate with Nixing. This is an entirely new Nixing experience for me and an exceptional teapot, especially at this price. Highly recommended.
